I struggle to have any sympathy with someone who is an arsehole to Animals.
I would say 1-nil to the Bull but they end up getting done in at the end too.

Obviously a barbaric game of kill where the Bull always loses.
But I cannot lie I felt sorry for the matador, as a Human I cannot celebrate the death of another one of my species.
Animal Lib and all lovers of animals will want to make him out to be the evil one but I will go with the saying ' You never truly know someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes'.
In that country it is by many seen as a great skill and a show of courage to get into a ring with a Bull. though I like many do not see it that way, I hope Spain and other countries ban Bull Fighting after this tragic situation.

Not defending bullfighting here but Orwells i dont think we have any right to judge other cultures wjen ×e have not long banned fox hunting with dogs and yet there are still people wanting it brought back. So looking down our nose at Spanish culture would be a bit hypocritical.

Bullfighting is steadily losing popularity and support in Spain, thankfully. It's tied up with politics in a similar way to the fox hunting debate here - supported by the conservative right plus those working-class people who work in the industry.
